Getting to and leaving the airport
The airport is located about 35km west of the city and can be accessed by the Autostrada Roma A91 Motorway. The Trenitalia train service (Leonardo Express) travels between the airport and city every 30 minutes with travel time taking about half-an-hour. High Speed Trenitalia trains also connect Rome Fiumicino with Florence, Bologna and Venice.
Other transport options include Taxis or car rental. Nine car rental companies have offices at Rome Airport. Car rental offices can be reached via the pedestrian tunnels leading to the Comfort Parking structure. Signage in the Arrivals area will direct passengers in the right direction.
