Sunshine Coast holidays are picture perfect any time of year. If you’re looking to get away from the chilly air, then a winter escape to the Sunshine Coast is the perfect solution. Winter days are warm and sunny while evenings require just a light jacket or jumper. In the heat of summer there’s nothing more enticing than a long, white sand beach, and the Sunshine Coast is lined with the best of them.
When looking for flights to Maroochydore, the cheapest fares are often found mid-week. Peak times are during school holidays and public holiday weekends, so planning outside of these dates, or booking as far in advance as possible will help in your search for the lowest fare. For Melbourne passengers, Jetstar also offers cheap flights out of Avalon Airport. There is a stop on the way, but often times these flights will be offered at lower fares. Flying into Brisbane is another option when looking for flights to the Sunshine Coast. If you’re looking at renting a car, the drive from Brisbane Airport to Mooloolaba and Maroochydore is just 1 hour.
The Sunshine Coast Airport can be found on the north side of Maroochydore, just off the Sunshine Motorway. Take the David Low Exit and turn left onto Runway Drive. All major car rental companies operate at Sunshine Coast Airport with offices located in the Arrivals area.
